Each year East Arnhem Futsal fields a number of teams in the FNQ Club Futsal Titles held at the Redlynch Stadium in Cairns, QLD. The Cairns Titles are usually held the first weekend of November (to be confirmed). We are planning to field teams from u8s up to u14s/u15s and Masters teams. It is a terrific event for players and parents/carers alike and provides a fantastic way to end our season for the year. Some quick details: - As the tournament runs all day Saturday and Sunday, most families usually travel over the Friday prior and return the Monday following depending on flight availability. - Please note the Club does not take unaccompanied minors and accordingly a parent/guardian must accompany the players unless families make arrangements with other families. - Most families usually book and stay at the Cairns Colonial Club Resort - it's clean and tidy, has various sized rooms/configurations available and is reasonably priced. It has 4 pools to choose from, a poolside bar/restaurant and breakfast available. But some families choose other accommodation options including the Cairns Coconut Resort. - Most/some families hire a car for the weekend but the Club does hire mini-buses for teams to travel to and from the Redlynch Stadium. Not all family members fit in the buses. The Club covers the cost of team registrations and the mini-buses only. - If there is sufficient interest, the Club will approach Airnorth about a group/bulk booking. However, to do this, we need to understand the total numbers of those who would wish to access these arrangements. - All registrations to join the Cairns teams (whether families want to be included in the group Airnorth booking or not) will be facilitated closer to the date. It's a fantastic weekend of Futsal competition and fun, so the Committee and Coaches hope you'll consider the opportunity to be part of this terrific annual event.
